Geometric Series

A series of numbers in which each term is obtained by multiplying the previous number by a constant. 

(The constant can take any value, except 0 or 1)

e.g. 1 + 3 + 9 +.......

The constant is called the common ratio

Example 1

3,  6,  12,  24 ......

Common Ratio = 2
