Find the equation of the line joining the following points. (4, 0) and (8,4)	Answer Gradient =   4 - 0   = 1 8 - 4 So y = 1x + c Substituting values of x and y from one of the co - ordinates e.g. (4,0) gives: 0 = 4 + c So c = -4 So equation is: y = x - 4
