Finding a Fraction of a Number

Worked example

What is ¾ 0f £200?

Sometimes you can see the answer very quickly. In this question you may immediately answer £150.

If the numbers are more complicated you may want to show some more working.

e.g. ¾ of £200

= ¾ x £200

= £600/4 = £150

When you see 'of' think 'multiply'.
